Love. Love is the single word that comes to mind as I went though all the images of Christina and Stephen’s wedding day. I’m fairly certain their faces hurt with all the smiling they did, and they sure had a lot to smile about!
The day started out with both Christina and Stephen getting ready at their venue, Manufactures’ Golf Club in Fort Washington, PA. Christina was tucked away in a room with her ladies while Stephen and his men occupied the bar area until moving on to get changed for church. Before they left for church, Stephen had one thing to take care of… that was making sure to tee off on one hole while dressed up in his full tux.
Christina and her bridesmaids got hair and makeup done and were so relaxed and fun to be around; the stories they told really proved to me I have not heard it all during bridal prep. We did a dress shot with Christina’s dress out front with the fall decorations, while hiding the dress from everyone to see. There had only been about 4 people in the entire venue who had seen her dress prior to this point.
Once Christina got dressed and ready, she did a quick first look with the rest of her girls, and we made our way off to church. Church was set and everyone was in their places when we arrived, and the services began shortly after. The lighting in church was so lovely with a nice sky light over the altar that made for some great images
After church, we went back to the venue for some formals and Christina and Stephen’s session, and I would say the party began after that…. but their bridal party was prepared, and the party began as soon as they left church. Their bridal party was so much fun to be around – they included close friends and family…. and even a former bride of mine (Hi Meghan!).
The reception was perfect, the room was so accommodating to their crowd and allowed for plenty of energetic dancing, laughing and general fun! Also, another fun surprise for me was that another former couple of mine was there (Hi Megan and Rich), and also one of my favorite event planners was there as a guest, and he had a well-deserved night off (Hi Dan!).
All in all, Christina and Stephen had a perfect day, and the smiles on their faces the entire time showed just how much they loved and appreciated all of their family and friends in attendance. It was an honor to capture their wedding. Congratulations!
