On Sunday July 17th, I rode in my 4th Irish Pub Tour de Shore bike ride, sponsored by the Irish Pub Children’s Foundation. The Irish Pub Children's Foundation is dedicated to raising money for children in need and the families of fallen police officers and firefighters in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey Area. The ride is 65 miles (67.5 miles this year due to route changes) from the Irish Pub located on 20th Street in Philadelphia, to the Irish Pub in Atlantic City.
I registered back in February and set myself a goal of raising $2,000, and I was committed to raising every penny I could to support the charity. This year I was fortunate enough to have employee matching contributions from IT Solutions Consulting, a Photobooth event at the Grey Lodge, and the generosity of family and friends towards my goal. The night before the race, I received a final donation from All-in-1 Electric that put me over the $2,000 mark, and I was absolutely thrilled!
Since it is hard to carry my Nikon and Sony cameras on the ride, I was lent a GoPro from a friend (Thanks, Joe!) and also used my iPhone to help capture some of the ride. Sunday morning I took to the streets and pedaled all the way to Atlantic City. I hope you enjoy all of the images and the video of the finish line.
Thank you to all who supported my ride:
